Stranger Things 4 stars Noah Schnapp and Millie Bobby Brown address Sex Will

Before the fourth season of the popular Netflix series Weird thingsFans had some questions about the sexuality of one of the series’ characters, Will. There was a moment in Season 3 where Will, played by Noah Schnapp, Mike (Finn Wolfhard) end up fighting over their friendship and Elvin (Millie Bobby Brown) with Mike shouting “It’s not my fault you don’t like girls!” at will. Since then, fans have assumed Will might be gay and now, with Season 4 here, Schnapp and Brown are addressing the situation.

Warning: spoilers for season 4 of Weird things less.

If Season 3 fans were skeptical about the situation, a moment in Episode 4 of Season 4 of that questioning grows even more with Will offering Mike some thoughts on opening up about his feelings and while Will talks to Mike about Mike’s feelings about Eleven, it’s not hard to read in a different light.

“Sometimes, I think it’s scary to open up like that — to say how you really feel, especially to the people you care about the most,” Will says. “Because what if – what if they don’t like the truth?”

However, Schnapp and Brown leave the interpretation of the situation somewhat ambiguous. The actors said diverse That the situation is up to the interpretation of the audience and that there is really no need to label things.

“I feel like they never really touched on it or how blatantly Will is,” Schnapp said. “I think that’s her beauty, it’s only up to the public’s interpretation, if he’s kind of just refusing to grow up and grow slower than his friends, or if he’s really gay.”

“Can I say, it’s 2022 and we don’t have to sort things out,” Brown added. “I think the really nice thing about Will’s character is that he’s just a human being who goes through his own demons and personal issues. A lot of kids out there don’t know, and that’s okay. It’s okay not to know. And it’s okay to name things.”

Schnapp added that he agreed that a poster was not needed. Will is just “confused and growing”.

“I find that people get to put a label on it and just want to know, really badly, ‘Oh, that’s it,’ he said. ‘He gets confused and grows up. That’s what it means to be a kid.”

“Will is a bit like a zebra in a horse field,” Schnapp added. “It kind of stood out. It’s good to see that and bring it up on ‘Stranger Things’ so that fans can connect with them and be able to relate to them. Because a lot of our viewers are young children at that point in life.”

Season 4 – The first volume of Stranger Things is airing now. Volume 2 premieres on July 1st.
